As one the of participants of We Bleed The Same Master Class, Yalan produced 2-panel painting ‘Universal Consciousness’ for the exhibition of 55 CANCRI E. This exhibition presented artworks produced by ANU students to combat racism. This project was supported by Freilch Project for the study of bigotry, College of Arts and Social Sciences, ANU, We Bleed The Same team including Photographer Tim Bauer, Journalist/Filmaker Liz Deep-jones and Art Director, Brenda T Dwyer and SEEF (student extracurricular enrichment fund), PARSA, ANU.

Yalan received ‘First Place’ prize in 2022 ANU Student Research Conference (Master Category) by presenting her practice-led research on: Researching the invisible: an exploration of the unconscious mind via automatism painting technique following analysis of Hilma af Klint's 'The Ten Largest' paintings.

Ink Drawing on Chinese Long Scroll Paper ‘ Cactus, Rock & Goose, 2022’ was selected as Finalist in ANU School of Art and Design Drawing Prize 2022. It was exhibited in ANU SOAD Gallery from 19th of July to 12th of August.

Drawing ‘2022 ANU PARSA’ was permanently archived by ANU in ANU 75th Anniversary Ceremony (26:38). The time capsule will reopen in 2047. 2022 is ANU’s 75th anniversary. ANU asked students to contribute meaningful items representing student campus life for its 75th anniversary. Yalan produced a 30cmx30cm ink drawing of 2022 Postgraduate & Research Students’ Association (PARSA) members. She drew the background based on merging 30 photos captured from ANU’s Kambri Precinct.

Artwork ‘Weeping Cherry’ was selected for exhibition in Clyde & Co Law Firm in Sydney based on selection process of more than 700 artworks from three art schools including National Art School, Sydney College of the Art, UNSW art and designs in graduation show 2022. This work is currently on exhibition in Clyde & Co Law Firm in Sydney for duration of one year until April, 2023.
